AAEYC Awards and Educational Grants

The following AAEYC awards are given for outstanding professional service to children and families. You may obtain the nomination form for these awards here; click here for a list of previous winners.

Trainer of the Year Award (New in 2010)
is given for outstanding training experience, AAEYC involvement, and other professional involvement.

Teacher Educator of the Year Award (New in 2010)
is given for outstanding teaching experience, AAEYC involvement, and other professional involvement.

Administrator of the Year Award (New in 2010)
is given for Excellence in Early Childhood Program Leadership in Austin.

The Sallie Beth Moore (Teacher of the Year) Award
is given to an AEYC member who is directly involved with young children and who has demonstrated outstanding service.

Mabel Pitts / Leadership Award
is given to an AEYC member for outstanding community leadership and contributions on the behalf of young children.

Madeline Sutherland Award

is given for outstanding service to children with special needs or disabilities.

 

Jeannette Watson (Advocate of the Year) Award

is awarded to a public policy maker, official, or others who have contributed to the enhancement of the quality of life for young children in the Austin area.

 

AAEYC Education Grants
are awarded annually at the AAEYC Spring Awards Reception. We are pleased to announce the introduction of the AAEYC Jerry Townsend CDA Assessment Fee Award to assist a CDA Candidate with the submission of their CDA Assessment Application.
